St. Anne’s Sodality, the largest organization of St. Augustine’s Parish, and of the Kelso community, was founded in 1879. It now has a membership of over 450 ladies. Active in church, diocesan and community affairs, the organization is busy tending to the needs of the parish. Our Sodality attends to the spiritual growth of our parish through activities like May Crowning of Mary, leading the Rosary, Bereavement Meals, various fundraisers and dinners.
All women of our parish 18 years and older are members of St. Anne’s Sodality, CCW (Council of Catholic Women). Our Sodality meet once a month, August through May, at 7:00 pm on the first Thursday of the month in the St. Augustine Parish Center, Christmas party is held in December at the school gym. There are DCCW Deanery meetings quarterly at various parishes.
Our quilt club makes beautiful quilts. Everyone in the Sodality gets 10 tickets to sell each year and then we draw for one quilt to be given away at the Christmas party.
Current officers for 2023 are Janice Burger, president; Laurie Essner, vice-president; Patty Schaefer, treasurer; Lana Arnzen, secretary.
